She sanded them to down to prepare them for spray painting, but...\" class=\"wp-image-2856\"\/><\/a><figcaption>The cornhole boards after a good sanding!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I found these used cornhole game boards at a garage sale \u2013 they were smaller than usual, which I thought would be great for my kids! But the paint on them was pretty faded, so I sanded them down to a real smooth surface, thinking I would spray paint them after.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Unfortunately, the past few days here have\nbeen rainy, so we\u2019ve been stuck inside and unable to spray paint life back into\nthem. Of course the kids have been impatient and playing with them in the house\n\u201cas is.\u201d But the bean bags just don\u2019t <em>glide<\/em> over the recently sanded surface.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a class=\"imagegallery\" href=\"https:\/\/www.protapes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/DSCN3504_800.jpg\" rel=\"imagegallery2849\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.protapes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/DSCN3504_800.jpg\" alt=\"The cornhole game boards and a bean bag, after the boards have been decorated with Pro Splice tape\" class=\"wp-image-2857\"\/><\/a><figcaption>Close up of the cornhole board after applying Pro\u00ae Splice, with a special surprise along the edge&#8230; read on!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I looked around to see what I could do \u2013 and as always, Tape is the answer! I found a few rolls of <a href=\"\/products\/pro-splice-50\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Pro\u00ae Splice 50 (opens in a new tab)\">Pro<\/a><sup><a href=\"\/products\/pro-splice-50\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Pro\u00ae Splice 50 (opens in a new tab)\">\u00ae<\/a><\/sup><a href=\"\/products\/pro-splice-50\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Pro\u00ae Splice 50 (opens in a new tab)\"> Splice 50<\/a> Tape- which is a SUPER smooth tape. Very thin, light, and even a little bit stretchy. I started layering 2\u201d stripes of Pro<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Splice from the top of the boards down to the bottom edge. I folded the edges over and created nice corners&#8211; kind of like wrapping a present. Next, I applied White Pro<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Splice all around the edges, but I didn&#8217;t stop there\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a class=\"imagegallery\" href=\"https:\/\/www.protapes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/DSCN3544_800.jpg\" rel=\"imagegallery2849\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.protapes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/DSCN3544_800.jpg\" alt=\"The cornhole game board in the dark... see what happens when we turn the light off!\" class=\"wp-image-2858\"\/><\/a><figcaption>The cornhole board in the dark&#8230; almost&#8230;<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I then added <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Pro Glow\u00ae (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"\/products\/pro-glow\" target=\"_blank\">Pro Glow<\/a><sup><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Pro Glow\u00ae (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"\/products\/pro-glow\" target=\"_blank\">\u00ae<\/a><\/sup> around the outer edges and <a href=\"\/products\/pro-glow-gaff\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Pro Glow Gaff\u00ae (opens in a new tab)\">Pro Glow Gaff<\/a><sup><a href=\"\/products\/pro-glow-gaff\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Pro Glow Gaff\u00ae (opens in a new tab)\">\u00ae<\/a><\/sup> inside the center cut-out holes. I cut the Pro Glow Gaff<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> into smaller pieces so I could easily mold them around the cut-outs. In case anyone got confused there: Pro Glow<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> is a shiny, smooth vinyl tape, whereas Pro Glow Gaff<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> is matte like regular Pro Gaff<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>. These are two different products! I used the Pro Glow<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> vinyl tape on the surface of the board because it is smoother than Gaff, so it allows the bean bags to slide right down the board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a class=\"imagegallery\" href=\"https:\/\/www.protapes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/DSCN3555_800.jpg\" rel=\"imagegallery2849\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.protapes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/DSCN3555_800.jpg\" alt=\"The cornhole game board glows in the dark with the help of Pro Glow and Pro Glow Gaff. Great for long summer nights!\" class=\"wp-image-2859\"\/><\/a><figcaption>Completely in the dark &#8211; ta da!!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>NOW with the added Glow,\nwe can play all day, and all night!! Check out the results!! I must say, this\ntape is so smooth and really does allow for the bean bags to do their thing and\n<em>glide <\/em>right over the surface!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019m SO impressed with how fast and easy it was to bring these boards back to life without needing to use paint. Not to mention, these tapes gave the boards a very <em>Pro<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>-fessional<\/em> new look!!
